1. Content Ownership & Authorization Requirements

You retain full ownership of the source videos, transcripts, and exported short clips you create in clipthisvideo (clipthisvideo.com). By uploading a video file or submitting a source URL, you represent and warrant that you hold the necessary copyright, license, or authorization to process, excerpt, caption, and redistribute the underlying recording.

A publicly viewable URL on YouTube or another platform does not automatically grant authorization to download or repurpose third-party content. Where authorized programmatic stream access is unavailable, you must upload your master video file directly.

2. Credit Reservations, Reconciliation, and Refunds

Processing and export jobs consume usage credits. Before a job is enqueued, estimated credits are reserved against your spendable balance using an idempotent transaction key. Upon job completion, actual credit consumption is reconciled and any unused reservation is returned. If a processing job fails due to a system or worker error, reserved credits are automatically released back to your balance.

3. Acceptable Use & Isolated Processing

Uploaded media files are validated for container signatures and processed inside isolated, resource-bounded worker environments. Attempting to upload malformed payloads, bypass rate limits, or submit unauthorized third-party streams may result in job rejection or account suspension.
